Mark is a great example of someone who came to our Center, picked up the skills of blindness and ran with them! Mark put his daily living and mobility training to use daily and regained his independence. He is wrapping up his adaptive technology course here, and is confident he can deal better with any challenges life throws his way after the instruction he received at our Center. Prior to his recent surgery, Mark could not see more than shadows. He has regained quite a bit of useable vision now, and is prepared no matter what the final outcome. Mark, we salute you for getting back into life!

Anita King Client of the Month Award
Anita King
January’s Client of the Month has worn many hats, including that of a founding member of our White Cane Red Hatters! Anita Hill retired from Stockton Unified School District and came to our Center to train in the
skills of blindness. Back in the swing of things, she came on staff for several years before retiring and returning as a client.
Anita takes time out of her busy day to join us for Red Hatters and bingo. Most recently, she was elected to represent our clients on the CCBVI Client Panel. We can definitely all benefit from her experience and enthusiasm for life. Thank you Anita for giving back and sharing the gift of you!
